March 2nd - Lawrence Labrador Lowdown

Morning Drop-Off:

This information has been included in multiple Lawrence Lowdowns. However, we still have safety and traffic concerns during morning drop-off. Parents MUST use valet service if they are not getting out of the car with their child. Dropping students off near the blacktop is not permitted. An adult may ask you to park and escort your child on campus if you pull up in this area. Thanks in advance for your cooperation with this matter.

Birthday Recognition:

You may celebrate your child’s birthday by having his/her name on the marquee for one day. Wishes must be submitted to the office at least 2 weeks prior to the birthday. For additional details, please contact Mamie Kristovich.

Lawrence Art Committee Meeting:

Parent representatives will be holding our first Art Committee Meeting on Tuesday, March 6, at Panera Bread. Join us at 7:00p.m. to learn more about bringing additional art opportunities to the classroom.

Scholastic Book Fair:

Lawrence Elementary Families, our "Paws for Books" book fair is coming up in a few weeks and we need your help! Last year, our inaugural book fair was wildly successful! Please help us repeat by signing up today to help set-up, staff, and pack-up our book fair. Please see this link for dates and times: https://volunteer.scholastic.com/#/signup/Cu56g3vS9

Please note that this sign-up is for critical book fair staffing. We will also have Teacher Preview Luncheon on the 19th, Family Night on the 21st, and a new Parents Shopping (and Grandparents/Guardians) opportunity on the 23rd with light refreshments. PTO will be following up with opportunities to help make those great events happen.

Thank you!

Thanks in advance for your support.
