Welcome to Lawrence Elementary School!

This year we will continue to embark upon a journey that few are given the opportunity to do: establish the foundation for programs, climate, and culture of a new school community. On June 13, 2017, the Board of Education of LVJUSD voted unanimously to name our campus Lawrence Elementary. As we begin the school year, one of the tasks our community will take on is the establishment of school colors and a logo for the Labrador mascot. These and other action we take this year, along with the ideas we bring to reality through our collective efforts, will be our legacy long into the future.

Parent engagement is something that truly makes Lawrence Elementary standout amongst exemplary elementary schools. Visitors who walk on campus are able to see and feel the strong partnership between home and school. Some parents help plan the programs and policies, while other serve as classroom and library volunteers, field trip chaperones, or plan family activities. Parents also support student success by sending a clear message that education and regular school attendance are important to their family. We know you are your child's first teacher, and we feel fortunate to share in their learning experience.

The vision of Lawrence Elementary is to provide rigorous educational opportunities with a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) focus. We will continue to develop this vision as we establish our programs at Lawrence Elementary. A key part of the progress made will consist of establishing a PTO at the start of the 2017-2018 school year. We encourage all new and existing families to take an active role in the development of our PTO.

I am excited and privileged to be part of the dedicated and professional staff at Lawrence Elementary School. As we journey through this year together, I trust it is going to be full of learning, laughter, and fun!

If I may be of assistance to you, please don't hesitate to contact me.
